Description

Geotextiles and Geogrids are used to reinforce unpaved roads or structures, and provided with the characteristics of improving engineering efficiency, reducing the cost of construction, and being easy to install and use. Both have similar functions such as strengthening the stability of soil or roadbed, maintaining the structural base, reducing soil erosion, improving and filtering drainage. The differences come from composition and design of the product.

Geogrids and Geotextiles are all made of geosynthetic materials. Geotextiles fabric are resistant to UV rays and corrosion. They are designed for stability, reinforcement, erosion control and surface drainage. Geogrids mesh are made of polymer materials such as polyester, polyethylene or polypropylene, They are applied on the wall or slopes to provide support and maintain structural integrity to achieve soil stabilization and consolidation of the foundation, both can reduce the required thickness of the subgrade to improve the durability of the surface.

Comparing to traditional over-excavation or piling construction methods, the effect is limited, the cost is high and time-consuming. The special structures of geogrid geotextile reduce filling aggregate requirements, avoid vertical structural costs and construction footprint. It effectively stabilizes the base and the road, saves time and cost effective.
