Geotextiles-Silt Fence

Silt Fence is made from woven polypropylene yarns, which is designed to block the sediment while letting the water slowly flow through the fabric. If properly installed it can control sediment from being ahead into streams and rivers, which results in killing fish and other aquatic life. It is the most commonly used fabric for erosion control in residential ad commercial construction.

Silt fence geotextiles were born out of the need to protect out streams, river, lakes and reservoirs from sediment contamination. Runoff from storm water and other non-point sources is the largest remaining source of water pollution
